She highlighted the increase in opportunities for older women, noting that society now recognizes the allure and appeal of women aging gracefully. She continued: 'I see myself working [as long as] I want to. I don¿t know what that age is. It might be 70, it might be 80, it might be 90, I don¿t know'

Reflecting on her past work, she admitted, “I wasn’t as meticulous as I should have been. If I had the chance to start over, I would have prioritized the director’s role in a project while acting. Just like in music, the producers you collaborate with hold significant importance.”

Now, the legendary figure is determined to match the accomplishments of men and is steering her own narrative. Through Nuyorican Productions, she has overseen the production of various projects such as Hustlers, The Mother on Netflix, as well as TV shows like The Fosters and Shades of Blue.

She expressed her desire to delve into a myriad of storylines, stating, “I want to explore a range of narratives- from uplifting and empowering stories to entertaining ones and even gangster films. I aim to pursue all the opportunities that men have and embrace them fully.”
